Obscure Lampshades are hand-made in BIOHM HQ in London, UK. The shades are constructed from food and agricultural by-products originally heading to landfill. BIOHM mixes ‘waste’ orange peel and coffee with an organic plant-based binder. They are 100% bio-matter and therefore part of a closed loop system, meaning they can be composted at the end of their life span.
Each shade incorporates 3 kilograms of ‘waste’ and captures 1.5kg of carbon, meaning each shade acts as a mini carbon sink.
