Spanish Artist, Carla Cascales’ has produced a collection of sculptures from discarded and salvaged materials. Each piece showcases the beauty in damaged marble and timber that was heading to landfill.
Carla has embraced the Japanese art process ‘Kintsukuroi’ in a some of her sculptures. This ancient tradition involves repairing broken pottery with golden lacquer, a process which exaggerates the imperfections rather than concealing them.
Each piece is textured, unique and repurposed.
