Made by Insects, is an ongoing research into the natural polymer, lac, which is commonly used as a coating material, known as ‘shellac’. This research showcases ‘Lac’ in its natural form, removing the harmful chemical coatings that shellac has. One of the most exciting findings from the research is that the material can be blow, opening up new possibilities of three-dimensional shapes.
