The programs will connect to the NSW curriculum and are developed in collaboration with the Department of Education, industry leaders, researchers and other cultural institutions. In response, our spaces challenge traditional concepts of educational environments to enhance interaction and promote innovative modes of learning. In addition, we are creating on-site short-term accommodation for students, plus studios and accommodation for the institution’s visiting artist residencies. Our approach has been to draw from the Powerhouse Collection of materials and explore these through design in different methods of production.
The Powerhouse Museum is recognised internationally as one of the great repositories of shared stories of innovation and achievement across the applied arts and sciences, providing a comprehensive insight into our rich and diverse country.
