Clothing is presented as curated collections in wardrobe-style garment displays and delicate glass shelving. An array of singular, artistic pieces represent the individuality of the Viktoria & Woods woman; an exaggerated steel chair by artist Michael Gittings sits alongside custom leather-draped armchairs, offering incidental moments to perch or pause. Handworked steel clothing rails record the hand of their maker, while fine patterned-glass panels and floating shelving give a painterly effect, complemented by the shimmering quality of silver leaf partially sheathing the store’s structural columns.
The store is overlaid with subtle Australian references; earthy, golden and clear blue hues, soft linens and assorted timbers. An angled jewellery counter suggests a meandering path from the entry to the heart of the store. A custom stem mobile pendant inspired by Eucalypt leaves, provides a delicate artistic feature reminiscent of the jewellery pieces over which it hovers.
The fitting rooms are conceived as an experience in their own right; an open-top pavilion clad in the store’s signature amber resin. Internally, the spaces are pared-back, simply finished in plush tobacco-toned carpet, full height mirrors and hand-worked steel fittings, drawing focus to suspended linen panels that sway gently overhead.
