Myamo is a sustainable, modular acoustic panel designed in 2019 by Katharina Querbach during her Thesis at Cologne International School of Design. The product is constructed of mycelium (the underground root structure of mushrooms) and agricultural waste.
Inspired by the environment, the product is designed to aesthetically appear like a natural cell structure. It is an interior product that can be hung on walls or the ceiling and functionally absorbs sound.
Since its creation, the product has won several awards and been published in journals and exhibited around the world in public events.
